Sandia National Laboratories’ (SNL) Academic Research Security Program (RSEC), in partnership with the U.S. Department of State, seeks to engage with stakeholders from universities in Slovakia to promote research security in higher education that protects intellectual property and prevents illicit technology transfer. The two-day workshop will occur from 1-2 October 2024 in Bratislava and will help academic research organizations establish best practices to protect their knowledge, data, and technology.
The intended audience for this workshop is university administrators, staff members dedicated to research administration, oversight, or management, and faculty members or researchers in critical science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) fields. The event will be conducted in English, with simultaneous interpretation provided if required. Workshop materials will be provided to all participants in English or Slovakian. A draft agenda for the workshop can be downloaded here.
Participants who attend both days of the workshop will receive a certificate of completion from Sandia National Laboratories and the U.S. Department of State. Also, participants in this event may be eligible for future workshops or research funding opportunities provided by RSEC.
The workshop is FREE OF CHARGE, and participants will receive a business lunch and refreshments during the event.
